According to a survey published by Deloitte, the adoption rate of the latest generation of AI systems surpasses that of voice-assisted speakers like Amazon’s Alexa. Deloitte revealed that approximately 26% of individuals aged 16 to 75 have utilized a generative AI tool, which amounts to around 13 million people. Among those respondents, one in 10 individuals use it on a daily basis.

The popularity of ChatGPT soared as it gained attention for its capability to generate human-like responses in various styles, including articles, essays, jokes, poetry, and job applications in response to text prompts.
Following ChatGPT’s success, Microsoft introduced its Bing chatbot, based on the same system, followed by Google’s Bard chatbot. Most recently, Anthropic, a US firm, unveiled Claude 2.
Nevertheless, concerns have been raised about the potential misuse of these systems, as their ability to generate realistic text, images, and even voice at a massive scale raises the possibility of them being employed as tools for spreading widespread disinformation campaigns.
