Samsung has officially launched the One UI 8.5 beta program, introducing several new improvements designed to boost productivity, privacy, and overall performance. One of the notable upgrades comes to Photo Assist, which now supports unlimited image generation along with continuous editing and an edit history feature, giving users more flexibility when working with photos.

Quick Share is also getting smarter with the addition of face recognition technology. This allows the system to suggest sharing photos directly with people who appear in them, making file sharing faster and more convenient. Samsung is also enhancing cross-device connectivity with new features like Audio Broadcast and Storage Share.

The Audio Broadcast feature enables users to stream audio to nearby Bluetooth LE Audio devices using Auracast technology. It also supports voice broadcasting through the phone’s microphone, which Samsung highlights as useful for situations such as guided tours, presentations, or events. Meanwhile, Storage Share allows users to access and view files from other Galaxy devices—including tablets, PCs, and smart TVs—directly through the My Files application.

Samsung is also strengthening device security with features like Theft Protection and Failed Authentication Lock, aimed at improving user safety and protecting personal data.

The One UI 8.5 beta is rolling out first for the Galaxy S25 series in select regions, including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Users who want to participate in the beta program can register through the Samsung Members app.
